Airtel- Highest download speed provider

Bharti Airtel is largest network service provider in India which has maintained its quality of service in broadband network. According to the latest data of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Airtel has recorded highest download speed on mobile network in January and it is worth mentioning that Airtel has doubled its 4G download  speed. This clearly states Airtel – the Highest download speed provider.

Airtel has increased its download speed to 8.42 Megabit per sec (Mbps) in January from 4.68 Mbps in December. This is the third time when Airtel network has registered highest download speed in the last five months since September.

Among Other networks, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular have also increased their download speed in January as compared to download speed in December.


Vodafone India registered 6.8 Mbps in January from 6.7 Mbps in December. Idea Cellular has registered 6.62 Mbps in January from 5 Mbps in December.

On the other hand, BSNL has reduced its download speed to 3.16 Mbps in January from 3.4 Mbps in December. While 4G entrant Reliance Jio’s network download speed reduced drastically. It has reduced its average download speed by more than half to 8.34 Mbps in January from 18.14 Mbps peak speed in December.

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) collects and computes speed of mobile data from subscribers across the country with the help of MySpeed application on real time basis.

From the above, it can be seen clearly that Airtel is giving fierce competition to its rivals, especially to Reliance jio, the latest entrant of telecom industry.
