Fix – Error Downloading – Insufficient space(memory storage) on device. This is one of the common error which one may face while downloading application from play store from Android device, because the memory installed on your phone is not so large, as compared to the user willingness of the number of application installed on their own device. This might be because of huge Android market store which is available for free or minimum cost. You may need to take different steps to fix this issue. Here are the following:
Steps to Fix – Error Downloading – Insufficient space(memory storage) on device
Step A : Remove unnecessary application – Fix Insufficient Space on device.
1.) Navigate to System setting and then to Application manager, where you will find list of application installed.
2.) Tap on Application which you don’t use (either frequently) and uninstall it by pressing uninstall button.
3.) Repeat step 2, until you uninstall all undesired app.
4.) Try to install the desired app. If the app still doesn’t get downloaded due to less memory, try Step B.
Step B: Move to SD Card – Fix Insufficient Space on device
1.) Navigate to the Android Setting -> Apps or Application manager.
2.) Select the application, where you will find “SD card Data” or “Move to SD card“. Tap on move and select OK.
3.) Repeat step 2 for all application.
4.) Now install the application from play store. If still the error persist try Step C.
- Note: App will be partially moved to SD card and partially take space of internal memory. So, if you un-mount or remove memory card, those apps would not work. Also there are some apps, which cannot be moved to SD card.
Step C : Remove Aap Cache Data – Fix Insufficient Space on device
Install App Cache cleaner or 1 Tap Cache Cleaner or clean master. And find the option to clear cache memory data from the data. I suppose App Cache Cleaner should get installed on your device without getting the Error : Insufficient space or memory. As the size of app is very small. This should install your application from play store. If the same error pops up, try
Note : If you are using Samsung mobile, then you can dial *#9900#. This will list out some options, where you need to find “Delete Dumpstate/logcat“. Press this option and hit ok, which will remove dump memory.
Step 4 : Google play services – Fix Insufficient Space on device
1.) Navigate to application manager in Android setting, and find Google Play Services.
2.) Select “clear data” and “clear cache” and Tap on “Uninstall Updates” or “Uninstall” button.
3.) Now try to install your app from Google play store, which should not cause the insufficient error.
- Note : Description from Google play Service : “Google Play services is used to update Google apps and apps from Google Play. This component provides core functionality like authentication to your Google services, synchronized contacts, access to all the latest user privacy settings, and higher quality, lower-powered location based services. Google Play services also enhances your app experience. It speeds up offline searches, provides more immersive maps, and improves gaming experiences. Apps may not work if you uninstall Google Play services.”
If your Google apps are not working properly after uninstalling Google Play Services, try to again re-install the Google play Services from play store.
