Samsung has recently announced Galaxy A9 Pro and J7 Prime for Indian market and now it is launching another smartphone in J series i.e. Samsung Galaxy J5 prime which is a upgraded version of Galaxy J5 (2016). The smartphone is priced at Rs. 14,790 only and will be available for purchase from the end of this month in Gold and Black color variants. Galaxy J7 prime is available from Samsung’s e-stores.

Galaxy J5 Prime has some upgraded features from the last Galaxy J7 including 5 Inch HD IPS, Metal body Display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution at 294 ppi pixel density and measures 142.8 x 69.5 x 8.1 mm dimension along with 143 grams weight. It is powered by 1.4 GHz Quad core processor along with 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal storage with expandable external storage upto 256GB (microSD).
The smartphone bears 13 MP rear camera with Autofocus, Voice Capture, Face Beauty, HDR, Scene Modes, Smile detection, Face Detection, Self timer, Touch focus, Gesture Shot, Makeup Effects, F1.9 Aperture, Pro Mode and 5 MP front camera for shooting selfies. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow Operating System with 2400 mAh battery.
Galaxy J5 Prime offers Dual SIM slots, 2G/3G/4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Micro 2.0 USB. The smartphone has Fingerprint sensor on home button along with Proximity, Accelerometer and Ambient light. It also supports FM Radio, Multimedia players for both audio and video and also has built in applications.
