Enable or Disable Built-in Screen lock on Android Phone: Now-a-days, when we are using our android devices like mini PCs. So it has become very important for us to take precautionary measures in order to keep our personal data on android safe and secure. For that purpose an android phone is facilitated with many in-built security features. And one of them is in-built screen lock feature. However there are many different and popular apps are also available in app market that provide screen locking features but why not give a try to a feature that is already given to us.

So let us start discussing built-in screen lock features in detail and see how it works. So just implement the following steps to enable the built-in screen lock of your android device:

Step 1: Firstly go to Setting option of android and tap Location and security option (this option may vary from one android to another).here I am quoting the e.g. of Samsung Galaxy Y.

Step 2: In Location and security option, tap Set screen lock option. This will show you a screen as shown below.

Step 3: You will see 3 different options like Pattern, PIN and Password. You can choose any of these options.

Pattern: This option will enable you to draw a pattern to unlock android screen.

PIN: This option will enable you to enter a PIN to unlock android screen (minimum 4 and maximum 16 digits). In PIN option you can only enter numbers just like an ATM PIN.

Password: This option will enable you to enter an alphanumeric password (minimum 4 and maximum 16).
